MORTE recommends that the pressure head is designed according to the different dies that will be placed on it. For this reason, we offer our customers the design and manufacture of different types of pressure heads (with and without brakes), as we have been doing during the last years.

The pressure head is placed between the extruder exit and the die. Its purpose is to break the rotation of the clay when coming out of the helix and turn that into a linear movement, as well as to correctly compact and distribute the clay before it gets to the die.
