Last January MORTE received a certificate for having contributed in an effective and verifiable way to the reduction of workplace accidents, and for having carried out effective actions in the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases during the observation period 2015.

With the aim of reducing the workplace accident rate, and in this way addressing an economic and social problem that was increasing significantly, the Royal Decree 404/2010 was issued in 2010 to implement a system of incentives in the area of Social Security. A system designed to “reward” those companies that, complying with the requirements established for this purpose, are characterized by their effective and verifiable contribution to the reduction of work-related accidents.

With this system, the Administration has wanted to reward those companies that show accident rates below the established limits, and that have carried out certain preventive actions that have contributed to the elimination or reduction of risks and the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases.

For its fulfillment, MORTE has made investments for the adaptation of its machines and facilities. At the same time, other actions have been carried out, such as the development of a mobility plan and effective training for all its workers in occupational risks prevention.
