MORTE COLLABORATES AGAIN WITH THE PROGRAM LEARNING TO UNDERTAKE

After the pleasant experience that was the visit of the students who participated in the second edition of the school program ‘Learning to Undertake with Ibercaja‘, we decided to maintain our commitment to the training of Rioja youths by collaborating with participating schoolchildren during this course 2018/19.

We remind you that this program is an educational project whose objective is to promote the entrepreneurial spirit of the 5th and 6th grade students of Primary Education by fostering entrepreneurial skills both at the individual and group level; enhancing their capacity for innovation, communication and leadership.

Under this premise, students have created and managed 15 different cooperatives throughout the course, with production and real sale of handmade products designed by themselves, making the complete cycle of a company, from the initial idea to the manufacture and sale.

In this edition, two cooperatives of students of 5th and 6th of Primary School created in the CPC La Milagrosa de Calahorra, “Milastar” and “Milamovie“, have dedicated themselves to the cinematographic creation. Each of them has produced during the course a short film with essential themes for their education such as avoiding the phenomenon of school discrimination, encouraging the adaptation of the children who join the centre and another inclusive measures.

In MORTE we are aware of these issues and the importance they have in the training of our young people. Therefore, we wanted to contribute our bit by reaching an agreement with both cooperatives to donate the necessary USB for the sale of these videos. In turn, Marcos Morte went to the classroom to chat with the children and check with them the work they have been doing during these months.

The project culminated last Friday June 14th with the celebration of a large market in the square of Centre Ibercaja de Logroño, dedicated to the sale of products made by the various school cooperatives that served as a meeting point for all students and participants.
