Last April was a month full of activity, as far as events in the ceramic sector are concerned.

First of all, from April 10 to 13, a new edition of CERAMITEC, the international reference event, was held in Munich, gathering again a multitude of professional visitors from all over the world.

At MORTE, we wanted to take advantage of this incomparable framework for the presentation of our new corporate video.

We want to point out the large number of visitors from Latin America: Colombia, Peru, Mexico and Argentina; as well as North Africa, which is a faithful reflection of the technological development and the automation process that is being experienced in the ceramic plants of these regions.

This event, once again, has given us the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the problems and concerns of our customers, as well as new trends in the markets, which are constantly evolving to improve the performance of ceramic construction systems to face the strong competition posed by alternative products such as concrete.

In summary, we have enjoyed some very profitable days to continue our line of work aimed at providing our customers with our know-how and experience to offer the most profitable products on the market.

Secondly, the Algiers Exhibitions Centre hosted from April 22 to 26 the XXI edition of the BATIMATEC Show, the most important trade show for the ceramic sector in North Africa.

We value our presence as very positive, favored by the prevailing optimism for the country’s economic recovery, thanks to the new expenses for investments and the budget measures taken by the Algerian Government in the new Finance Act of 2018.

Regarding the market, underline that it is increasingly demanding, with a marked predominance of B8 and B12 products. Although it is clear that among the new products that ceramists try to incorporate into their catalog, both the B4 and ceiling bricks are proliferating with a growing presence.
